Biblical References for the 7 Things That Happen To Me When I Sin

Biblical references for the 7 things that happen to me when I sin:

1. I make God sad (Jeremiah 2:5 What fault did your fathers find in me, that they strayed so far from me?)

2. I make God mad (Psalm 78:29-32 So they [the wandering Israelites] ate and were well filled [with manna and quail], For He gave them their own desire. They were not deprived of their craving; But while their food was still in their mouths, The wrath of God came against them, And slew the stoutest of them, And struck down the choice men of Israel. In spite of this they still sinned, And did not believe in His wondrous works.)

3. I lose God's blessing (Genesis 3:24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.)

4. I gain a curse (Genesis 4:10-11 And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.)

5. I fall short of God (Genesis 19:26 But Lot’s wife looked back as she was following behind him, and she turned into a pillar of salt.)

6. I go too far in something else (Exodus 32:4And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”.  AND.  Daniel 3:1&7 1Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its width six cubits. He set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.  7So at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the horn, flute, harp, and lyre, in symphony with all kinds of music, all the people, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the gold image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.)

7. I get another chance (Genesis 22:1 Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith. “Abraham!” God called. “Yes,” he replied. “Here I am.”)
